My Account Of Skydiving San Diego

It is quite challenging to put forward an account of the sensation that you feel when skydiving for the very first time. Truly speaking, you will be going through a lot of emotions, and you might even end up with feelings of exhilaration. It might get quite challenging for you to express your feelings in words. Only a week ago, I took up skydiving in San Diego. While this was not the first time that I went skydiving but believe me, I did not have quite nerves. You see, I am acrophobic. My friend Jane had requested me to accompany her for her skydiving expedition as her bucket list. So, I agreed to be the brave one for Jane. I booked a tandem skydive and arrived early in the morning. We met our instructors, who made us feel less nervous and more confident. Both of us were really excited. The whole experience seems blur now, but once you have mastered the right skills, you are ready to go!

Ready, Get Set, Go!

You might be surprised to know, but diving from an airplane is not as fearful as it generally seems. There are no roller coaster feelings. Instead, you feel as if you are standing straight up in a kind of convertible vehicle traveling at 120 mph. Before you even understand, the 60 seconds freefall is complete, and you are left with a big parachute that will land you back on the ground. Since I was not a first-timer, my instructor gave me complete control of the parachute, and I was down to the ground in not more than three to five minutes. Touchdown and congratulations! Now, I was a part of the elite group of skydivers who are sufficiently brave to take this incredible jump of faith. Time to offer you some tips on skydiving in San Diego!

My Skydiving Tips

  • Skydiving appointment in San Diego can either be made on phone or online. The centers or drop zones also accept walk-ins based on how busy they are. However, I suggest making an appointment to guarantee your spot in case the drop zone is busy that day.
  • Arrive early to ensure that you are ready before the big leap. It will take one hour approximately.
  • Dress right for the event. The air is refreshing and cool and therefore you should wear something comfortable.
  • As Jane had me accompanying her for her skydiving expedition, in the same way, you should also have a friend to share this excellent adventure with you.

Try getting a video of your skydiving expedition. This might have you paying a bit extra, but it is always a worthwhile expenditure.
