Difference Between Base Jump And SkyDiving

Don’t get yourself confused with a base jump and skydiving. They are different. One requires a bit of training, and for the very first jump, you will be attached to your instructor. On the other hand, in a bases jump, you only have one parachute which opens right after you leap, and there’s no time for you to open the reverse canopy. It’s extremely dangerous and is quite close to the ground. The jump lasts for less than 10 seconds.

In terms of the height of the fall, skydiving can start anywhere near 4,000 feet and can go all the way up to 10,000 feet. While you can expect a base jump to go as maximum as 2,000 feet.
